A transatlantic legal career spanning more than two decades — advising entrepreneurs, investors, and families at the intersection of corporate law and immigration across two continents.
Two Legal Systems. Two Decades. One Focused Practice.
Siola Hashorva is a business and immigration attorney whose credentials span two continents and more than twenty years of combined legal and corporate experience. Educated as a Jurist at the University of Tirana Faculty of Law — one of Southeast Europe's oldest law faculties — she later earned her J.D. at Wayne State University Law School, giving her fluency in both European civil law tradition and American common law.
Before founding her firm, she served as a Corporate Controller within an American corporation — a background that sets her apart from most practitioners. She has sat at the financial and operational center of a business, not just across the table from one. That experience directly shapes the counsel she provides to entrepreneurs, investors, and growing companies.
In 2012, she founded The Hashorva Law Firm, PLLC in Troy, Michigan, where she advises clients on corporate law, strategic business transactions, and long-term development — while concurrently representing individuals and families in immigration matters. Her immigration practice carries the weight of personal understanding: she knows the American legal system not only as a trained attorney, but as someone who has navigated it as an immigrant herself.
Ms. Hashorva is a member of the Albanian-American community in Michigan and has spent her career working closely with Albanian-American entrepreneurs and business owners across the state.
Founder & President, Albanian American Chamber of Commerce of Michigan
Siola Hashorva founded the Albanian American Chamber of Commerce of Michigan — the first formal organization of its kind in the state — to fill a clear institutional gap: a growing, economically active Albanian-American business community without a dedicated civic voice.
The Chamber is dedicated to strengthening entrepreneurship, fostering cross-sector collaboration, and expanding economic opportunity for Albanian-American business owners and professionals across Michigan. As its President, Ms. Hashorva serves as the organization's principal representative and advocate — building institutional relationships between the Albanian-American community and Michigan's broader governmental, economic, and civic leadership.
The Chamber reflects the same principles that define her legal career: long-term thinking, rigorous preparation, and a commitment to the communities she serves.
